The ABOG MOC standards now allow participation in ABOG-approved Simulation Courses to meet the annual Improvement in Medical Practice (Part IV) MOC requirement.  This course has been approved to meet ABOG Improvement in Medical Practice requirements until 12/31/2020. Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the meeting attendees should be able to:

1. Formulate and practice techniques to optimize trans-vaginal hysterectomy and other minimally invasive approaches to perform hysterectomy.
2. Identify and discuss the surgical anatomy of the pelvis as it relates to gynecologic surgery, as well as the biomechanics of pelvic support and continence.
3. Describe national initiatives to minimize surgical risk, increase volume and improve ability to manage complications.
4. Formulate clinical algorithms in treatment management of patients with pelvic pain and endometriosis.
5. Evaluate new technologies and how and when to incorporated them safely into surgical practice. 
6. Assimilate new techniques for teaching gynecologic surgery into practice.
