The SGS Research Fund supports activities of the Research Committee and a vibrant research community. Some examples include:

  1. Research Tool Kit - SGS leaders volunteer their time to provide consulting to young SGS member and non-member researchers, lending advice on research study design, helpful online courses and other tools – everything from concept to publication.
  2. Systematic Review Group – Since 2007, the SRG has systematically reviewed the important subjects and controversies in the field of gynecologic surgery to produce evidence-based practice guidelines and standards of care. Costs for this activity have increased in recent years to engage and utilize the expertise of methodologists, statisticians and technical writers.
  3. Fellows’ Pelvic Research Network (FPRN) – Promotes research training and provides an environment for fellows to participate in collaborative research and conduct multi-center studies as principal investigators. Participants enhance their knowledge and skills in study design, implementation of multi-center studies, data management, and statistical analysis.
