The SGS Research Fund supports activities of the Research Committee and a vibrant research community. Some examples include:
- Research Tool Kit - SGS leaders volunteer their time to provide consulting to young SGS member and non-member researchers, lending advice on research study design, helpful online courses and other tools – everything from concept to publication.
- Systematic Review Group – Since 2007, the SRG has systematically reviewed the important subjects and controversies in the field of gynecologic surgery to produce evidence-based practice guidelines and standards of care. Costs for this activity have increased in recent years to engage and utilize the expertise of methodologists, statisticians and technical writers.
- Fellows’ Pelvic Research Network (FPRN) – Promotes research training and provides an environment for fellows to participate in collaborative research and conduct multi-center studies as principal investigators. Participants enhance their knowledge and skills in study design, implementation of multi-center studies, data management, and statistical analysis.
