PG Course Proposal Information

*Must be an Active SGS Member to Submit a PG Course Proposal
Submission Deadline: August 10, 2025

PG Courses will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026.


The primary criteria for selection are:

  1. Anticipated level of interest in the topic
  2. The needs assessment/gap analysis
  3. The expertise of the proposed speakers

Each PG Course proposal must include the following elements:

  • Suggested PG Course title
  • A 2-3 paragraph description of the course
  • Suggested Course Chair and speakers
  • Course outline with suggested titles for presentations with proposed start and end times
  • Identification of speaker for each suggested presentation
  • Needs assessment/gap analysis for the course
  • 3-4 learning objectives for the course
  • Explanation of any requests for AV equipment over and above the standard podium, screen and projector (if applicable)
  • Inclusion of travel/honorarium required for any non SGS members.

IMPORTANT: All submissions must follow the guidelines above and be made via the submission form. Due to the scheduling process of the meeting, the deadline will not be extended. The submission must be made in one session; you will not be able to save your work and come back to finish at a later time. Therefore, please be sure that you have all the required materials available at the time of submission.

Disclaimers:
The PG Course Chair and SGS member faculty will receive 1 hotel night. There is no additional travel reimbursement or honorarium offered. If any travel expense or honorarium is required for non-members, this requirement must be included in the PG Course proposal. The 2026 SGS Scientific Program Committee has the right to suggest/request edits to the selected proposals. Selection is at the discretion of the 2026 SGS Scientific Program Committee. Submission of a proposal does NOT guarantee selection as an SGS PG Course. If selected, additional equipment requests will be considered, but NOT necessarily approved. Notification will be sent for such requests after all equipment needs have been identified.
